Because new energy source is restricted by the region and natural condition, and nuclear power has also been affected by "Japan fukushima accident", coal-fired power will still be in our main position. But the dynamic characteristics have big differences between thermal power unit’s boiler and steam turbine. How to coordinate the steam turbine’s fast response to the outside load and the lag of the boiler is the key factor to the whole unit’s safety, stability and efficient operation. Coordinated control system comes into being just from that. As an important part of the main control system, coordinated control system plays an important role in balancing the boiler and steam turbine’s dynamic characteristics, and maintaining the stability and efficient operation of the unit. Nowadays, distributed control system is widely used by the power plant, and coordinated control systems will also be in this platform to realize the application.This paper has made a deep analysis to the coordinating and controlling principle on the basis of survey researching of the coordinated control system and the distributed control system platform’s development and the present research status. According to the different control scheme and using energy balance the characteristics of the signal, and analyzes the effect of feed-forward signal boiler side. Established a thermal dynamic mathematical model coal-fired unit which can make domestic production300MW. On the MATLAB/Simulink’s simulating software, it has made a simulating research to the boiler control mode, the turbine control way, the coordinated control mode which basing on the following of turbine and the coordinated control mode which basing on the following of boiler. Through the comparison of the control effect of four control modes, to determine the best mode to control. Finally choose the appropriate coordination control scheme and feed-forward signal to make Huaneng power plant of laiwu unit5coordinated control system realize on the LN2000DCS platform and also make an optimized improvement to the quality of operation of AGC, obtain relatively good control effect.
