Along with the emergence of EHV lines such as750kV,1000kV, Steel tube tower will be one of the development trend for high voltage transmission line in the future because of its advantages of special high intensity and light weight, but there is no mature special transportation equipment to meet its construction requirements currently; In addition, under the conditions of heavy erection task in transmission lines, short construction period and more and more difficult disaster and emergency rescue, in order to improve work efficiency and ensure working period and engineering quality, mechanical construction must be implemented comprehensively. Among them, development and manufacture of electric power construction transportation vehicles with high performance is the key.On the basis of the comprehensive analysis of factors which restricts State Grid disaster and emergency rescue vehicle, this essay gives some research on cross-country and climbing performance of the equipment. Among them, the author analyses cross-country performance mainly from three aspects:structure form of the chassis, minimum ground clearance of the equipment and the size of approaching angle and departing angle. And optimization of the equipment structure will be analyzed to meet design methods in different kinds of terrain; the author expounds grade ability mainly from attachment performance, dynamic performance, stability, driving system and the structure of carrying platform. Through the theoretical analysis and the dynamic simulation research method, dynamic performance and stability of equipment will be improved and make it can possess the ability of carrying six meters long tower material to directly run in35degrees slope up and down.
