The guided projectile degisn process needs a lot of complex technology and is difficult to achieve, many problems need to be solved. Considering the high overload and the muzzle velocity of the projectile which is unable to meet the needs of modern war, a new kind of propellant charge with Programmed Splitting Stick Propellant (PSS) is recommended to improve this situation. A series of numerical simulation researches are carried out. The main researches are as follows:a) The combustion law of PSS is analyzed, the shape functions are derived. The classical interior ballistic model of a certain guided projectile with PSS charge is established. The4th order Runge-Kutta scheme is used to solve these equations, the results under PSS charge have been analyzed and compared with that under the conventional nineteen holes granular charge technology;b) In order to compare with the PSS charge, the one-dimensional two-phase flow model of a large diameter guided projectile with conventional granular propellant charge is establish-hed. MacCor-mack scheme method is used to simulate the two-phase flow field. The distribu-ting laws of interior ballistic parameters are studied.Under the same ignition condition, the differences of the interior ballistic parameters’ distributions under the two charges are analyzed.c) The one-dimensional two-phase flow model for a large diameter guided projectile charged with PSS is established, the model is programmed and calculated with MacCormack scheme method. The distributing laws of interior ballistic parameters are studied, and the results under conventional charge and PSS charge are compared and analyzed;d) The parameters that may affect the properties of interior ballistic charged with PSS are analyzed based on the classical interior ballistic theory. The design variables and the objective functions are determined and the optimization model of genetic algorithm for the guided projectile internal ballistic charged with PSS is established, the optimization calculation is programmed to get the relatively optimal proposal.
