It is to the author’s attention that a considerable number of combustible cartridge ammunition allocated to army units has reached its service life, confronting the army a problem of efficacy of the ammunition. Researches conducted on three types of combustible cartridge ammunition allow the author of this thesis trace and analyze, pending life cycle of the ammunition, variation of its quality and reliability in the duration of storage; furthermore, making evaluation on storage life of combustible cartridge ammunition. Thus, the thesis provides theoretical and technical support for storage assessment.The researches predicate phenomena as the changing of colour of combustible cartridge into green have no effect on its safety and reliability in the duration of storage and prove the continuation of utilization in army units. The thesis can serve both as a theoretical basis for combustible cartridge ammunition’s contrivance, improvement, production, and guidance of quality supervision and inspection and acceptance in relation to production of the ammunition for military representatives accredited. In conclusion, the storage life validated by the research result can be applied as proof of prolongation of combustible cartridge ammunition’s service life, hence save military expenditure at a great amount. |
