With continuous improvement of our marine exploitation technology and the species andquantity of offshore operation are also more and more. But due to wind, wave, current, tideand other harsh environment, offshore floating production systems inevitably have asignificant up and down heave, which will directly affect the safety of operation. When theship drags Submarine Trencher that is dugging trenches, Submarine Trencher is affected fromheave motion of vessel. To solve this problem, we can set up the heave compensationequipment with a heave compensation function between the ship and Submarine Trencher toensure the safety of submarine trencher.The paper introduced related technologies of domestic and foreign and developmentpresent situation of heave compensation. According to ocean wave characteristics, by researchon the work principle and work process of passive and active heave compensation, in view ofthe situation of Submarine Trencher operation, and load of heave compensation system,presenting overall design scheme of new type semi-active heave compensation system.Thecharacteristic is the increased underwater heave compensation to ensure the safety ofsubmarine trencher and realizing two compensation mode of the passive compensation andsemi-active compensation.Completing detailed design of the structure of the new type ofsemi-active heave compensation and establishing the3D model of structure. The mainparameters of Hydraulic system are confirmed.The overall design scheme of Hydraulicsystem is decided.The stress state of several key organs of heave compensation equipment were analyzedand calculated, and the strength of the critical components of heave compensation equipmentis checked by using ANSYS finite element analysis software, which proves the reliabilityrationality and rationality of its structural design. And establish mathematical model of a newtype of semi-active heave compensation, including the mathematical model of the passiveheave compensation and4/3-way proportional directional control valve body of the symmetrycylinder power. And the influence factors of the dynamic characteristics of the control systemis analyzed to be basis for the next step of simulation.The heave compensation system control method and control strategy have been studiedand the model of the control system are established. Using MATLAB/Simulink software, the passive heave compensation and electro-hydraulic proportional control and the overall heavecompensation system is simulated, obtaining the design feasibility analysis results by analysisof simulation results.
