At present, the traditional two-dimension process design methods have already can’tsatisfy the requirement of the process design about high precision and special complex parts,leading to the complicated process design and the imprecise process review. According to theconventional mode of operation, after the completion of the product three-dimension design,the designer will begin the work of the two-dimensional process drawings design, includinglabeling the dimension size information, tolerance and process information etc, usually thedesign of the two-dimensional engineering drawings will take more time than thethree-dimension design. Here take the three-dimension environment as a breakthrough, andstudy the computer-assisted process planning, related techniques of three-dimension modelbasing on the MBD conditions, with UG as a secondary development platform, this researchputs forward the distribution of the surplus process, the calculation of process dimensionchain, the allocation of operation allowance and the generation techniques of themid-deviation generation in CAM during craft processing.Firstly, takeing an analysis of allowance process dimension. According to the need toextract and save the information of model size, and using the program solver to automaticallydetermine the process allowance,through taking look-up table method by experience todetermine process allowance and it can reasonably allocated to allowance.Secondly, doing a whole three-dimension model process dimension chain calculatingwork. We use a new computer-assisted process dimension chain calculation method instead ofthe traditional manual calculations of two-dimension process dimension chain methods, so itcan save a lot of time for craft personnel.Finally, in order to solve some unavoidable errors in the process of CAM, it has studiedtechniques of the mid-deviation generation technology to use the successful driven model todirectly apply to CAM machining.
