In the field of manufacturing, production line reasonable or not will directly impact on arange of issues in the post-commissioning, including further expansion of production scale,production efficiency, production management and control. The excellent production line cannot only improve productivity but also greatly reduce the cost of management.In the design process of the production line, the application of the simulation method isalso essential. It played a huge role in reducing the waste of human and material resources,and shortening the design cycle of the production line to improve the utilization of theproduction line. With digital manufacturing increased, the advantage of computer simulationis also increased; the simulation method is an application for manufacturing essential.This paper is for aircraft factory in Shenyang, a general aircraft assembly production line.It made a detailed analysis of the conventional method of the production line, structure, anddesign principles. Through a general aircraft’s shape structure, and workshop layout study,propose a layout planning for general aircraft’s final assembly production line; it also detailedresearch production requirements, aircraft process, propose a general aircraft productionprocesses and workstations, work bit arrangements; the article also describes a discrete eventsystem simulation theory and modeling methods. Using extended the random senior judgePetri nets (ESHLEP-N) to create a discrete event system model. Use DELMIA/QUEST tomake a simulation model for assembly production line. Through running3D model ofproduction line, we can find the utilization indicators and the bottlenecks of the model,then,we can optimize model, and modify the model several times to get the optimal model, atlast, provide a reference for establishment of a production line.
