The paper take source of the Middle Route in the South-to-North Water TransferProject——danjiangkou reservoir water as the object of the research. According tothe water quality situation to study on the adaptability of conventional water treatmentprocess. And based on this research result, the paper continue to study on optimizationof conventional process, in order to provide data support for waterworks bydetermining operation parameters,seting up operation program and new watertreatment in the situation of multi source.The paper through to Danjiangkou reservoir water quality index to havecomprehensive, continuous monitoring and analysis of reservoir water, will bedivided into two different water period, and for different water period of coagulationoptimization with different media and L/d optimization and contrast, finally on theoptimization of filter backwashing optimization. The conclusion is as follows:(1) Danjiangkou reservoir water were divided into two phase-low turbidity andhigh turbidity by Kmeans Clustering Analysis. In addition, through the pilot model toexamine that conventional technology on reservoir water turbidity and " threenitrogen" has good removal effect,but organics removal need to be further improvedby optimizing the conventional process,in order to nip in the bud.(2)According to laboratory-scal jar test, the optimal running parameters ofcoagulation-sediment units for high turbidity period were obtained. The results includ-e: coagulant optimization PAC, best drug dosage3.04.5mg/L, rotation velocity ofcoagulation n0=300rpm; rotation veloeity of the first and second flocculation units n1=80rpm and n2=50rpm; time of coagulation T=90s; time of flocculation t=20min; pre-cipitation time tp=20min. Comparing with high turbidity period, low turbidity periodthe optimal control parameters depend on lower coagulation and flocculation strengthto achieve. For economic consideration,the priority-order is m>G0>G2>t>G1>T.(3) By comparative analysis of fine quartz sand filter, coarse sand filter,anthracite-sand filter and anthracite coal filter of performance on removing turbidity,organics show that anthracite-sand and anthracite coal filter are the optimal filter bedgrading of danjiangkou reservoir raw wate.(4) Based on anthracite-sand filter and anthracite coal filter optimization aboutbackwash showed that mixed of gas and permeat backwashing is the best way of backwashing, and when giving the same strength of backwashing to the two filters,anthracite-sand filter have the higher water strength than anthracite coal filter in thegas-water stage,but water stage short time in coal filter column.
