The utilization of wind power which is clean has become more and more important in the future. The power capacity of wind turbines grow rapidly in recent years, which brings new opportunities and challenges. This paper studies some key technologies of wind power system in-depth.In order to solve the problem of unreliability of wind generation system under rigorous environment, a PLC based on A-B Corporation is designed as the main controller. After the analysis of its working principle, three subsystems which are the logic control system of wind generation system, the monitoring system by upper computer and the Ethernet communication system are designed and verified in the experimental platform. Results show that the control system works well.Maximum wind energy capture is the effective method to improve the efficiency of wind turbines. Firstly, the model of wind speed is designed, which is an important part in the simulation of wind power system. Then, a modified hill-climbing method is proposed in this paper. Simulation show that the control strategy works well.Multi-generator with single stage gear is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the advantage of6-phase double-Y permanent magnet synchronous generator is analyzed. It has low5th and7th harmonics in space flux when connected with rectification load. Then, the multi-pulse thyristor rectifier is proposed, which is based on series and parallel connection between electrical isolated rectifier modules. The experimental results show that the method is available and the system can maintain stability.Control strategy of LVRT is researched in this paper according to the specification of LVRT at home and abroad. A new control strategy of LVRT suitable for this new type power system is proposed, which is based on the electromechanical energy storage. The generator-side converter uses the strategy of reducing the power output. And combination the discharge resistor in the DC link with variable pitch technology could implement LVRT. Simulation show that the LVRT strategy works well.
