The energy storage system is considered to be an important means to improvewind power integration ability of the power grid, but due to the expensive price ofenergy storage system, how to configure the energy storage system and how toevaluate the comprehensive benefits are important issues in research areas oflarge-scale energy storage applications.This thesis respectively for wind farm and grid wind farm group’ wind powercurtailed rationing, consider wind power fluctuations characteristics, energy storagesystems cost factors etc studies the energy storage system capacity optimizationconfiguration problem of improving the wind power integration ability.This thesis based on LiaoNing power grid wind power and load data, analyzeswind power fluctuations time distribution characteristics and its impact on the powerpeaking, which provides an empirical basis for further study.For wind curtailed and power rationing of wind farm, the thesis puts forward aenergy storage system capacity configuration method of improving wind farm windenergy utilization level. This method takes maximizing the comprehensive benefit ofenergy storage systems as the goal, and the impact of energy storage systeminvestment costs and the economic benefits factors on its optimization capacityconfiguration can be taken into account. Based on the given wind power fluctuationcharacteristics and wind farm power generation plan,simulation analysis is adoptedto analyze the impact of different power rationing degree of wind single farm on theoptimization capacity configuration of energy storage system.For wind curtailed power rationing problem of wind farm group of thermalpower peaking grid, the thesis puts forward large-scale battery energy storage systemcapacity configuration method to improve grid wind power integration ability usingenergy storage system to load peaking. The method takes into account the cost and benefits of energy storage system. Based on the given load characteristics, Simulationis applied to analyze the effectiveness of the method of energy storage systemcapacity configuration, and the thesis also focuses on the analysis the impact of theenergy storage system cost and operating life factors on its capacity configuration.
