China is an earthquake-prone country; the stability of the earthquake slope under earthquake excitation is directly related to the safety of the project as well as the people’s lives and property. Therefore, the study of the dynamic response on the slope of the earthquake and dynamic stability of the slope is of great significance.Applied the elastic-plastic multi-yield surface model and combined with a specific project, this thesis conducted the effective stress analysis of the seismic stability of the slope. Focused on the content of the dynamic acceleration, dynamic displacement, dynamic pore pressure, factor of safety, permanent deformation and so on, this thesis evaluates the slope seismic stability based on the calculation results, The following work was done in this thesis:1. Summarizes the evaluation methods and the application of the slope seismic stability.2. Describes the theory of the finite element software Opensees and it’s application in the dynamic response analysis. Through the seismic analysis of ID site, the results show that the dynamic effective stress used elastic-plastic multi-yield surface model could simulate the soil nonlinear, hysteretic nature, cyclic mobility and dynamic pore water pressure changes better.3. By calculating the law of the seismic response of rockfill dam under the artificial wave, this thesis conducted the dynamic effective stress analysis combined with a high rock fill dam project. Thesis focuses on the calculation of the rock fill dam’s dynamic acceleration, dynamic displacement, dynamic pore pressure, factor of safety and permanent deformation which in the artificial spectrum of seismic waves, and the comparative analysis of the results with the equivalent viscoelastic model.4. Conducted a sensitivity analysis on the form of the input of the seismic waves.Based on the above calculation results, this thesis evaluated the slope seismic stability, and made corresponding recommendations to the seismic reinforcement of the dam.
