Power system, as the lifeline of modern society, plays an important role in the national economy. The boiler-side bunker structure is the more innovative structure type of main the building of the thermal power plant at present. The coal bucket capacity of the traditional steel-coal-side coal bunker structure is limited, the lateral movement of the structure is larger .To deal with these problems, the Northwest Electric Power Design Institute try to design a new type of main building of the thermal power plant — RC boiler-side bunker structure,which the concrete walls are centrally arranged, and the reinforced concrete coal bucket can provide a large anti-side stiffness for the structure.This paper will study the structure designed by the Northwest Electric Power Design Institute meticulously to test whether the structure can meet the seismic requirements.Based on the OpenSEES program, the finite element analysis model of reinforced concrete lateral coal bunker is established, and the dynamic elastic-plastic time - history analysis of the structure is carried out. The main contents of this paper include the following aspects:(1) First, OpenSEES is used to analyze the nonlinear process of the structure,and identify the various parameters of the OpenSEES analysis platform for modeling.(2) Analyzing the dynamic characteristics of the reinforced concrete bunker structure. The results show that the arrangement of the fifth and sixth layers of the concrete wall makes the vertical and lateral stiffness of the main plant, and the deformation is similar under the horizontal earthquake.(3) Doing the elastic-plastic analysis to he structure by inputting one-way horizontal seismic action.The parameters such as lateral displacement, base shear force, acceleration magnification coefficient and cross section ductility of the structure are analyzed. The results show that:The effects of structural elastic-plastic analysis under different seismic waves are consistent; the bottom?the second layer and the top layer of the structure are weak;the beam and column members can satisfy the principle of strong columns and weak beams.(4) The three-dimensional seismic action is inputted. By comparing the inter-story displacement angle, the base shear force, the acceleration of the vertex and the displacement of the vertex, the vertical seismic action is considered.The results of this paper can provide some theoretical basis for the future engineering design of such side coal bunker structure.
