The modern society has been inseparable from variety of motors, which are used in various fields. In the past two years, due to the impact of environmental and energy issues, and low speed and high torque motor has some advantages over other motors, such as small size, high efficiency, large torque and more reliable features, which makes the demand for this kind of motors more and more strongly. This study focuses on the nested dual-rotor induction motor, and its physical model is established as the intermeshing asynchronous motor by simplying its structure. When the speed ratio of Rotor Ⅰ and rotor Ⅱ reaches1:200, the motor can achieve the purpose of low-speed and high-torque.Firstly, the structural characteristics, operation principle, magnetic circuit model of the motor are analyzed. Furthermore, the mathematical model of the dual-rotor induction motor in the three-phase stationary coordinate is established. According to the principle of coordinate transformation, the mathematical models of the dual-rotor induction motor in the two-phase stationary coordinate system, in the two-phase rotating coordinate system are constructed. Electromagnetic equations coupled is solved, which makes the analysis and modeling easier.Secondly, based on the mathematical model of the dual-rotor induction motor established in the two-phase rotating coordinate system, the motor simulation model and the startup process model are established in the MATLAB software Simulink blocks, and the simulation results are analyzed. The results have been compared with ordinary asynchronous motor simulation results with the same parameters. When the analysis was verified, it is found that the dual-rotor motor has a good stable static and dynamic characteristics compared with normal motor. The motor has a certain theoretical significance. Finally, the vector control method is applied to the motor modeling and simulation in Simulink. The simulation results show that the motor has fast dynamic response, high steady-state tracking accuracy, torque transient response characteristics, which is the same as the vector control frequency conversion theoretical analysis. This will provide a foundation for further study in the motor control strategy.
