The subway voice system provides high-quality broadcasting and emergency response services. It is an important part of the rail transit vehicle service system. With the upgrading of the subway security level and service, the function of voice system controller needs to be improved and its processing capacity should be increased.This thesis uses TI’s TMS320DM368as the central processor and the video back-end of DM368drives the LCD to display voice system control information. The audio codec chip named TLV320AIC23is connected to DM368’s McBSP to realize digital audio broadcasting. EMIF is used to accomplish DSP+FPGA architecture by the way of mapping the FPGA registers as external memory. The master controller exchanges information with other units from the MVB train bus. The Xilinx’s Spartan-3A family FPGA of XC3S400A acts as the MVB protocol stack processing unit. What’s more, Ethernet, USB and isolated RS232interfaces are expanded using the DM368which makes the design adapt to different railway voice system.Firstly, this thesis introduces the on-board broadcasting system technology and the development direction. It describes the role and significance of the voice system controller according to the functional requirements of the modem subway system. Then it makes the proposal of DSP+FPGA processor architecture according to the needs of modern subway voice system. It uses TI’s high-performance audio and video processor of TMS320DM368, the Xilinx’s XC3S400A, and dedicated audio codec chip of TLV320AIC23to achieve LCD display, digital audio, button controlling, Ethernet interface and so on. In accordance with the design requirements and the selected devices this thesis promotes the overall design. Then it accomplishes the schematic and PCB design module by module. And then this thesis describes the processes of the PCB hardware test and system debugging and analyses the test results. Finally, the conclusion and future research direction are discussed.
