In recent years, with the economic development and city expansion, more and more people have rushed into the city and the cars number has increased rapidly and also the increasing of goods and materials exchange. All of these make the situation of urban traffic in our country get worse and worse, especially the crowded road, traffic jams and order. In order to solve these problems, more and more cities perform to rail transit. Based on the experience at home and abroad and the actual situation of our country, two booms of rail transit of proposal and construction appeared. Network planning evaluation plays a key role in the earlier stage of rail transit project.It is a great challenge for the urban planners to handle the network planning evaluation of rail transit well.This study sheds light on the network planning evaluation of rail transit.First of all, according to literature review, it systematically summed up the real contents of the network planning evaluation of rail transit, including the influential elements, goal, principals, contents, methods, procedure and related decisions of the network planning of the rail transit.Besides, based on the deep understanding of the network planning evaluation of rail transit and the content of the existing evaluation system at home and abroad, this study explored the defects of our evaluation system and reconstructed the evaluation system of the network planning evaluation of urban rail transit.What’s more, this study constructed a matter element and entropy weight model of the network planning evaluation of urban rail transit by investigating the existing method and model of the network planning evaluation of urban rail transit.We also confirmed the validity and rationality of this model through instance.which indicated that the model is of extensive practical significance.
