Along with the economic crisis and world energy shortage problem, energy saving and emission reduction has become the primary target of various industries. In the process of ship sailing, it contains a large number of waste heat that remains to be development and utilization, making full use of that will greatly enhance the vessel efficiency. Absorption refrigeration is a refrigeration technology which is possible to use waste heat as heat source. Using ship waste heat, absorption refrigeration will be conducive to energy conservation and emissions reduction in shipping industry.Comparing to various kinds of disadvantages of traditional refrigerating fluids, the new refrigerating fluid of TFE/TEGDME has advantages of producing below zero temperature, no crystallization and no explosion danger in vacuum running, etc. This paper put forward several feasible ways of refrigeration because the marine heat source temperature is not stable, and analyzed three methods of absorption refrigeration in theory which could be available in low-temperature heat source, the results show that when the compressor pressure ratio is two, the EAC single effect absorption compression refrigeration with TFE/TEGDME has low heat source temperature and high refrigeration coefficient. The thermodynamic calculation and structural design with TFE/TEGDME was carried out and the single effect absorption refrigeration experiment equipment was set up in this paper. The refrigerating efficiency of the experiment under setting conditions and changed conditions was studied by analyzing the parameters such as pressure and temperature.
