With the rapid development of modern economy, energy has become an important economic development issue. Saving energy has naturally become the subject which is concerned in the world. The ship is a huge transport equipment. Its energy consumption is also amazing. But most of the fuel energy is still not utilized. They follow some ship waste heat, which can be utilized, such as diesel exhaust and cooling water, to discharge into the atmosphere. They not only waste the energy, but also pollute the environment. To take advantage of vessel and save energy more effectively, applying ship waste heat to refrigeration is in favor of energy conservation. In this paper, the experimental studies of single-effect trifluoroethanol/ tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (TFE/TEGDME) absorption refrigeration have been done. The refrigerating efficiency of the experiment was studied by changing the inlet temperature of cooling water, the temperature of generator and the flow of cooling water. The experiment results show that when the amplitude of swing is 50mm, the angle of swing is 5° and the period of swing is 6 seconds, the COP of system is better than mat in static status. When the amplitude of swing is 100mm, the angle of swing is 8 °and the period of swing is 6 seconds, the COP of system is worse than that in static status. The amplitude and period directly influence the performance of the system.and an adequate swing conditon is beneficial to improve the COP of system.
