Reticulated shells are handsome in appearance and reasonable force, which have a wide range of applications. But due to reticulated shells nodes and bars in larger quantities, and the span, vector, mesh size and type of parameters such changes will cause the re-allocation of the structure of the internal forces, thus when making the reticulated shell structural stress analysis and structural optimization designre,remodeling is an enormous workload. Additional, because of the high cost of dome structure and it is necessary to optimal design.Its parameterized modeling program of reticulated is the basis of stress analysis and optimum design of premise. In this paper, using its own Parametric Design Language APDL, a method of the nodegenerationand element connection of the four typical schwedler reticulated shell is established, prepared the corresponding macro procedures; results show that:under the conditions of parametric such as the span of a spherical shell, rise high, length and number of grids, etc,to achieve parametric modeling of reticulated shell; this method is simple,efficient and possible, to provide possible for generating quicklyOn this base, and in the same geometric parameters and displacement constraints and loading conditions,on the four typical schwedler reticulated shell structure internal force analysis, by analyzing the internal force results, the location and distribution pattern of the four typical schwedler reticulated shell structure in maximum displacement and stress was obtained, and provide a basis for shape optimization design for the schwedler reticulated shell structure. According to the characteristics of schwedler reticulated shell structure, lightest to the structure of the total steel consumption (including rod weight and node weight) as the objective function, as strength, stiffness, slenderness ratio and stability constraints, in the FORTRAN environment, using the sequence two algorithms preparation of shape optimization procedures. Under the conditions of span of30m、40m、50m、60m、70m、80m and span ratio at1/7、1/6、1/5、1/4、1/3、1/2,the shape optimization design on four typical schwedler reticulated shell structure; comparing the results of shape optimization, analysis of the four typical schwedler reticulated shell structure variation of the total consumption of steel with the span and rise to span ratio; under the same conditions in the span S, the ring to the symmetric repeating Regional copies kn, radial nodes laps nx, the total steel consumption of the four typical schwedler reticulated shell structure with span ratio for variation.
