Today the field of product design pays more and more attention to the concept of user experience design. User research is a basic method to meet users’demands, and to improve the user experiences of products. A good user research project should be able to fully and truly reflect the overall users, and to provide the right direction for the design of the product. While a bad user research project will obstruct the development of products. Therefore, to ensure the reliability and validity of user study results is very important. User interviews, as an important research method, are mainly suitable for the qualitative research field. The research of the user interview’s reliability and validity can help to identify whether this interview program need an additional study. As for the above, this article takes three steps to create a model evaluating the reliability and validity of user interviews’results. The first step is taking the theoretical study. This paper preliminarily explores the factors that will affect the reliability and validity of the interviews’results from the viewpoints of user interviews. Secondly, the article investigates user researchers about whether these factors are in line with the actual situation using the questionnaire. Then we modify the model according to the survey results. The model has two parts, including a model of reliability and a model of validity. The reliability model includes18factors in five areas, so doe’s validity model. Finally, by using quantitative survey methods and SPSS data analysis software, the article explores the influence size and measurable degree of these factors. The article uses the two-dimensional graphics, thus to make the evaluation model more valuable in terms of the intuitive reference role it plays. In order to make the evaluation model has really applicable value, the article’s last part provides some evaluation programs for factors that is measurable and has relatively great influence. Evaluation programs are in the form of questionnaire survey and are aimed at interviewers and interviewees at the same time. In this way, researchers can have a comprehensive evaluation.
