With the assistance of constructing suspension model and other sub-systems of cars’ virtual prototype models, this paper carries out tests on the aspects of cars’operation stability and riding comfort, as well as makes some optimization works about hard point and related performance parameters with the goals of improving whole-vehicle’s operation steady performance. The major detailed research contents can be included as follows:This paper firstly analyzed the car’s suspension impacts on its operation stability which indicated the significance of improving car’s operation stability by optimization method on suspension parameters. With the multi-bodies dynamics theories, including its modeling theoretical basis and process, it makes a brief introduction to the software of ADMAS and MATLAB/Simulink, and its application status as well. And finally, it gives some abstract illustrations about traditional multi-objectives optimization, and proposes issues of solving multi-objectives optimization problems by using the method of genetic algorithm.According to the ADMAS modeling theories associated with the knowledge of multi-bodies dynamics, it sets up sample car’s sub-systems and assembles them together. Aims the problem of the front suspension hard point influence on front wheel positioning parameters, it uses the method of Improved response surface to optimize the front suspension hard point parameters, and it can be discovered the suspension hard point parameters optimization has improvement functions on suspension front-wheel camber, kingpin inclination angle, kingpin caster angle and front wheel toe-in value.It constructs a set of evaluation method and standard (Percentile score method) to assess car’s operation stability and riding comfort. Followed the given evaluation method, it accomplished the simulation tests on car’s operation stability and riding comfort which indicated the car’s operation stability had further improvement as necessary.In order to improve whole car’s operation stability couple with the consideration of riding comfort which could stay in the acceptance of passengers, it makes use of improvement genetic algorithm to optimize the suspension parameters. Just select one set of optimal suspension performance parameter values and put in into the suspension system to make the simulation test with the evaluation method, it could be found, compared with results of optimization before and after, that the car’s operation stability has been efficiently improved. And at last, it gives some suspension operation stability improving suggestions according to the optimization results.
