One hang, The setting of the connecting body in the connected buildings make the contact between the different towers become easy, on the other hand, its unique appearance make the building more features, and the connecting part of good lighting and a wide field of vision can be used as the sightseeing corridor or leisure place. The connecting structure becomes more and more popular as merits mentioned above, and it leads the design and analysis of structure to face continual challenges. Even though some scholars have done many experiments and researches and summarize some conclusions which only come from simplified model, and the knowledge of this area is lack of stress analysis about the connection body. This article take a high-rise connecting structure as the background, structural form selection and mechanical behavior of the high-rise connecting structure is analyzed, hoping to provide some reference for the design of such structures.This paper summarizes the research status of the connected building, and the mechanical characteristics、composition、classification are also summarized. We analyze the stress of the connecting body with different structural forms:vierendeel truss, between the different sections of the ends of the truss set one or two diagonal web members. Study on three different connection modes between connecting body and tower:both ends hinged connection, both ends rigid connection、one end hinged connection one end rigid connection. To study the mechanical properties of single tower and the overall structure under earthquake, and have an comparative analysis between them.From the study of the mechanical properties of the connecting body with different truss form, We conclude that, the end chord of truss bears more stress than mid-span chord, after adding diagonal rod, the internal force of the connection had greatly reduced, and with the increasing number of diagonal web members, axial force of diagonal web members and the stress of the connecting body are all reduced. From the study of how does different connection modes affects the performance of the overall structure and the connecting body, finally we got the following conclusions:the different ways of connection has little influence on the stress behavior of the whole structure, But for the moment frame column connected with the oblique abdominal rod and the axial force of oblique abdominal rod in The end first internode, when the connecting body hinged with the tower is more than rigid with the tower. For the mechanical properties of difference between a single tower and the overall structure, the addition of the connecting body improve the dynamic characteristics of the single tower to a certain extent; either a single tower or the overall structure, are all controlled by horizontal seismic, the control effect on the connecting body force is constant load; compared with single tower, the addition of the connecting body Increase the stiffness of the direction in connection arrangement, The maximum floor displacement appear inflection point in the connected body parts, displacement decreases in the arrangement direction and increase in the vertical direction.
