Commodity market is changing rapidly,the same as industrial production andscientific research,the raw material of innovation often brings new changes. Moistureis the key factors that determines the quality of products or industrial production.Trace moisture analyzer have come into being, it is widely used in nuclear atomicenergy, petrochemical, as well as in the field of national defense and other importantareas of oversight.In all kind of measurements moisture,Cartesian Coulomb law is relatively classic,accurate, China has put Karl Fischer coulometric method for measuring trace moistureinto list,and to be one of the basic standards. This article also uses Cartesian Coulomblaw to achieve the measurement of the water, according to Faraday’s law, bycalculating the amount of power consumed by the electrolysis of water, the wholemeasurement process is controlled by the microcontrolle, intelligent, automaticallydetermine the stop, print information and other functions. The results of themeasurements more accurate than others’. The design process involves manydisciplines, such as: mechanical and electronic, electrochemical, automation,electronics, computer and other disciplines.In this paper, we study the principle of trace moisture measurement instrument,combined with the application of the various disciplines,then we describe the tracemoisture measurement instrument’s hardware and software development and systemdesign. trace moisture measurement instrument technology development, analysis,compare the various titration methods, and ultimately determine the Karl Fischer Fischer trace moisture measurement instrument is designed as a system developmentmethodology. The second chapter begins with a brief description of the systemprinciple, and then make the overall design, performance indicators, and then in the third chapter we begin with circuit module design. C8051F020as the core of theelectrolytic current generating circuit, the control circuit, the feedback circuit and thevoltage to frequency shift circuit, the frequency of the integrating circuit, there areseveral important endpoint circuit module, a detailed description of these circuitmodules and the corresponding principle functions. The fifth chapter is theinstrument calibration and testing, first with standard liquid calibrate the instrument,and then treat the measured liquid measured, and then the results analysis, introduceduncertainty. Although the accuracy of the results is not ideal, but basically meet themanufacturers requirements. The end of the article summarized the deficiencies of thesystem design.
