With the harsh global climate change, the voice of the people of the Environmental Protection is more and more high. Due to the high energy consumption, low efficiency and heavy pollution of traditional heating methods, it gradually was abandoned.In the smelting and heat treatment industries, induction heating furnace came into being, and its development of technology application is more and more quickly.From user needs to the line voltage, this paper introduces completely the design process of the mid-frequency induction furnace, and detailed analysis of its working principle and characteristics. Zhe design brokezhe the design prongram of traditional sequence on calculation from the side of IF power supply to the side of the inductor load. The main design steps are as follows:1、Simple introduction to the course of development and prospects of induction heating power supply, describes the basic principle of a medium frequency induction heating and melting furnace main components;2、Starting from the user’s needs, designed the induction loop by a more reasonable calculation method. The calculation results demonstrate the practicality of the set of calculation procedures;3、From IF power supply parameters required, designed the inverter and its control circuit, and gives circuit device parameters selection method. For the induction furnace of5T capacity, designed the protection circuit;4、From perspective of the desired DC output from the inverter, designed the rectifier and its control circuit. Then choose the right types of rectifier transformer;5、For the induction furnace of5T capacity, elaborated debugging steps in detail, given maintenance suggestions for common fault and the processing method for complex fault.
