There is no essential distinction between the modern high speed Aluminium alloy ship and ordinary steel ship in the design of the overall performance, but in terms of the materials’ selection and structural design is much more complicated than the steel vessel. Inspecting the structure strength of the aluminum alloy ship whether to meet the requirements is a vital element in the design of aluminum alloy ship. With the development and combination of computer and finite element calculation methods, different kinds of finite element analysis software has been widely used in the analysis and checking of ship structure strength.This paper studied a50meters high aluminum supply vessel on its structure and the load, especially focused on the slamming load when the vessel sails at a high speed. By using the software MSC.PATRAN to build a ship model of three-dimensional structure finite element, then loaded the load to the model, finally solved them through MSC.NASTRAN software and calculated the structural strength of the stress nephogram. According to "Rules for Construction and Classification of Sea-going High speed Craft" and "Rules for Materials and Welding" by CCS, studied the strength structure of this ship whether meets the criteria. Compared two kinds of finite element strength results in which one loaded the slamming load and the other one not, through a comparative analysis found that when the hull slamming load wasn’t loaded the structural strength meets the requirements, but if loaded, the stress would be extremely high in somewhere. The study draw a conclusion that the structural strength of high speed vessel is highly affected by the hull slamming load which is a factor can not be ignored in the design of high speed vessel structure.
