Maritime search and rescue simulator mix virtual reality environment for Internet by searching and rescuing coordination center, own ship and assistant ship, and simulate and calculate ships all day long. It is used to reconstructShipwreck accident, simulate maritime search and rescue. It can improve the adaptability and coordination ability of maritime search and rescue department.Automatic identification system (AIS) is a kind of information mechanism of ship launching and receiving dynamic, static information, such as position, speed, heading etc.. AIS is important for collision avoidance, vessel tracking, maritime search and rescue. The real AIS data using into maritime search and rescue simulator can faithfully reproduce the waters around the ship,is the basis of shipwreck marine environment reproduction. It also will greatly enhance the realism and telepresence of maritime search and rescue training environment, and can effectively promote crew training initiative to improve the level of training of seafarers. This thesis base on maritime search and rescue simulator which is developed by DaLian Maritime University, via VHF antennas receiving real-time, or extracting offline data by a Voyage Data Recorder(VDR), use real AIS datas, decode and store them.Achieved a certain distance around the ship as target ship in the maritime search and rescue simulator; Calculate thesame ship’s position between Adjacent AIS data, so that the target ship can smoothly, dynamicly display on the Electronic Chart and Display System (ECDIS), radars and three-dimensional visual simulation. The content of this study are as follows:(1) Read the ship’s AIS datas, decode them and store these decoded datawhich is useful to this thesis in database.(2) Make projections between adjacent AIS data for the same ship, to avoid a ship jittering on the visual. For the real-time received AIS data, it will use mid-latitude sailing. For the offline AIS data, it will use spline interpolation method to calculate.(3) Manage the target ship’s navigation dynamicly, and display target ships around own ship within certain miles.
