The occurrence of forest fire will do loss and harm to the forest ecological system and the environment for human survival. As a kind of efficient forest fire equipment, not only can forest fire truck take firefighters and fire equipment quickly to the scene of the fire, but also it can use its functions to control and extinguish fire, so the research of its performance, especially on the dynamic performance, has an important significance to put out the forest fire and improve its extinguishing efficiency.This paper took a forest fire truck as the research object, based on the summary of the previous vehicle dynamic performance evaluation situation, proposed the dynamic performance evaluation significance of forest fire fighting truck, after confirmation the evaluation index of dynamic performance of forest fire truck,it raised an evaluation method of forest fire trucks, and introduced the AHP to determine the weight coefficient of evaluation method.According to the related national standards of vehicle test, the forest fire fighting truck were taken coasting test, maximum velocity test, acceleration test and climbing test, and achieved the forest fire truck dynamic performance of120km/h top velocity,29.2s acceleration time and53.59%maximum slope of field site test conditions.Making use of the related parameterssuch as rolling resistance coefficient and air resistance coefficient from coasting test, to make theoretical calculation of dynamic performance on the forest fire truck, the result is that the maximum velocity is143.63km/h, acceleration time is28.27s, and the maximum slope is55.20%.By making dynamic model of the forest fire truck in the simulation software of CRUISE, to make dynamic simulation on the forest fire truck,and achieve the dynamic performance parameters such as the139.03km/h maximum velocity,26.49s acceleration time and52%maximum slope. Compared with several kinds of forest fire fighting truck on the current market and make dynamic performance evaluation, while affirming its good dynamic performance at the same time, it also shows its shortage of dynamic performance. By using simulation software, we can make a conclusion that appropriate increasing in fuel consumption, proper increasing of the finaldrive gear ratio and the most low transmission ratio of the transmission, can effectively improve the dynamic performance of forest fire truck.
