The single-layer reticulated shell structure is a curved space grid structure, has both the main advantages of the truss structure and spherical structure. The reticulated shell structure has advantage of reasonable force, large span, economic use of materials, manufacture and installation convenience, so it is a kind of spatial structure with broad prospects for development. However, this kind of spatial structure owns specialties such as light weight, large flexibility, low natural frequency therefore, it is more sensitive to wind load. Wind load is very important for the shell structure, sometimes as the main load. But the wind load for this long-span rigid structure system hasn’t been stipulated in existing Chinese Load Code. So it is urgent need of proposing a kind of wind response analysis method which is suited for it.Firstly, numerical simulation was carried out on the wind speed time history by using two different methods:autoregression methord(AR method) and harmonic superposition method(WAWS method),the precision of simulation is analysed by comparing the agreement of simulated power spectrum with the goal spectrum.Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the two different numerical simulation algorithms above.Secondly, computational method of wind induced vibration response of reticulated shell structures in time domain is discussed. Several concepts including wind-induced vibration coefficient of nodal displacement and wind-induced vibration coefficient of internal force for element are used to evaluate the vibrating characteristics of such structures. Parametric analysis of wind-induced vibration of K8shells is carried out under different cases, including geometric parameters structural parameters, damping ratio parameters, boundary conditions. Some wind-induced vibration rules are obtained and can be used for the reference of the wind-resistance design and disaster prevention. At last, static analysis of single-layer reticulated shells under different cases is carried out.
