Large-span space lattice structures’ application prospect will be very extensive along with the accelerating of urbanization and the developing of architectural technology and the structure always with more complex shape, larger span, lighter quality and weaker stiffness, so the effect of wind load on the structure always play a crucial role in the structure design and it has been paid more and more attention, as well the problem about wind-induced vibration of structure is increasingly prominent. However, the study on the dynamic characteristics of space lattice structures under the wind load is very limited, both in china and abroad, due to the complexity of the dynamic characteristics of these structures.In this paper, two types of honeycomb type cylindrical lattice shell and the corresponding macro-programs of parametric design are put forward based on the bionics principle; the mathematical model of the macro geometrical parameters and the length of element lattice about ten types of cylindrical lattice shell are derived; the characters about free vibration and wind-induced response of the cylindrical lattice shell are analyzed, and all of this offer the beneficial reference for the engineering design and application. The main tasks of this paper are as follows:1. By using ANSYS software parameter of design language APDL (ANSYS Parametric Design Language), the parametric design macro program of two types of honeycomb type cylindrical lattice shell are given with the given parameters of the span, the length, the rise, the thickness and the number of lattice in the span direction the model of honeycomb type cylindrical lattice shell would be obtain easily. Thus offer greatly convenience for force analysis and optimization design about this structure.2. The mathematical models of ten types of cylindrical lattice shell are derived by study on the macro geometrical parameters (such as span, length, rise, etc) and the micro geometrical parameters (such as the shape of element grid, size, etc). Thus lay the foundation for standardized design, process and maintenance.3. Take Fred Boolean and positive four pyramid type cylindrical lattice shell for example, the character of free vibration about single-layer and double-layer cylindrical lattice shell are analyzed by ANSYS software and the variation of the practical of the fundamental frequency for the shells which could give great convenience for obtain the fundamental frequency include span direction and vertical direction. Thus offer the beneficial reference for the design of cylindrical lattice shell.4. Take Fred Boolean type cylindrical lattice shell for example, the character of wind induced response about single-layer cylindrical lattice shell are analyzed by ANSYS software and the regularities of distribution and characters about member internal forces and nodal displacement. Thus offer the beneficial reference for the wind induced response analysis and the design of cylindrical lattice shell.
