At present, steel structure has been used in a huge variety of shape complex high-rise buildings. Because of Many high-rise buildings’ architectural shape is changeful, large span, the difficulty and analysis of the accuracy requirement is very high, so the seismic performance analysis and stability analysis of steel structure is particularly important. In this paper, a high-rise frame structure with mega frame beam as an example, using ANSYS modal analysis, concluded that the vibration characteristics, such as period, frequency, vibration mode, etc. Based on the structural response spectrum analysis, draw the structure displacement and Angle displacement curve, the structure of the deformation figure, stress nephogram, etc.In addition, the author carried out time history analysis on the structure with tianjin wave, obtained the structure stress distribution nephogram and deformation nephogram, the structure of displacement and Angle displacement curve, etc. And compared with the results of response spectrum analysis, draws some conclusions of engineering reference value. Finally, linear buckling analysis was carried out on the structure, on the basis of the linear buckling analysis to the structure of geometrical and material dual nonlinear buckling analysis, get the structure of the buckling mode and buckling load and buckling weak positions. Through the analysis of these data, author evaluates the performance of the structure of the mega beam. At the same time, the article also introduced the analysis function of ANSYS, basic steps, and attention should be paid to the problem analysis, finally put forward some unsolved problems, including buckling load combination, dynamic buckling analysis, buckling coefficient of related problems.
