The design of traction electrical technology integration for metro car is described systematically. Traction/electrical brake characteristic design, simulation verification for traction performances, traction system functionalities and interface design, and the management and control of traction equipments and system performances test are introduced mainly.1. train traction characteristic design:it includes the characteristic of traction force Vs speed and electrical brake force Vs speed design, In order to meet the requirement of the route running performance, train jerk control and the performance coordination among the line voltage, traction convertor, traction motor and transmission system are involved in the design.2.traction performance simulation:the computer model is established to calculate the mean travelling speed and rescuing ability, the rated motor current, the rated motor power, the rated line inductor current and the rated brake resistor power under variable combined conditions of line voltage, train load and motor losses.3. main functionalities design for traction system:the driving modes managements, the generation and transmission of traction and brake demands, the execution of traction and brake force demands, traction authority, traction safe, main circuit breaker control, anti-slip and anti-slide control, traction ventilation control and the supervision and faults handling of devices are defined in detail.4. interface management and control of traction system integration design:in order to ensure that traction system has complete functionalities and superior performances, the traction performance matching, functional interface design and the electromagnetic compatibility are controlled and coordinated.5. laboratory combined test of traction system:before the traction devices being mounted on the car, the combine test for the traction convertor and motors will be conducted, so as to check whether traction/brake demands are executed by traction control system correctly, and verify whether the traction and electrical brake characteristics, and temperature rise of traction motor meet the specification.6. traction system and performances test of train:after traction devices being mounted on the car, traction system and performances test of train are then conducted, so as to check whether traction system can response to its control signals correctly, and determine whether the dynamitic test can be carried out. to verify that the traction performance meets the specified criteria. The tests are restricted to checking the starting and acceleration performance up to the maximum specified speed, to verify that the vehicle braking systems meet the performance requirements of the contract, to verify electromagnetic compatibility between harmonic current in the dc side of traction convertors and track signaling.The final test result shows that the technical and performance of traction devices and combined traction system meets the requirements of the contract.
