With the exuberant demand and the rapid development of China’s railway transportation, there is broad prospect of applicating the Automatic Train Operating (ATO) technology in railway transportation. In our country it is only applicated in a few urban rail project. But, it is also a trend to applicate the ATO technology in railway lines. The ATO is an important subsystem of Automatic Train Control System. It is responsible for the automatic running of train in order to replace the driver. The traditional control algorithm could achieve the automatic control and the operation of the train in the running security premise. But with the development of ATO technology, the punctuality, comfort and energy savings of train highlight their importance increasingly. And they also propose new requirements for the control algorithm rationality. In this study, with considering the characteristics and demands of the railway lines,comparing and referencing the current situation of the ATO application in urban rail project, this paper present a new control algorithm and develop a simu-training System to verify the rationality of the algorithm.Main contents of this paper include:1. This paper analyze the R&D results and control principle of existing Automatic Train technology. And it present the idea that CTCS-2train control system embed automatic function.2. This paper propose a new Automatic Train algorithm which combined with the the stepwise speed-change driving strategy and Genetic Algorithm,and ues it to plan the target speed profile.This profile is on behalf of a most reasonable control program. And it realized the plan and control of the train running states as acceleration, cruise and deceleration.3. This paper design and implement a simu-training system by using Visual Studio2010. In accordance with the artificially driving and automatic driving, the simu-training system test respectively. The simulation results show that the algorithm could meet the requirements about punctuality.energy saving and comfort.At the same time.the the simu-training system could achieve the teaching and training function.
