At present, China is in a critical period of rapid urbanization, urban construction scaleand the impermeable area is of significant rate of growth. As one of the urban mainimpermeable surface, the ratio of urban road to construction land is more than30%[1]. At thesame time, the road drainage system based on traditional method leads to a lot of problemssuch as road drainage pressure, surface pollution, rainwater resource loss, destruction ofecological environment. Therefore, it is difficult to meet the requirement of ecological andenvironmental construction of modern city.In order to deal with the environmental problems of runoff pollution and waterloggingdisasters and etc. caused by urban road impervious surface, the United States put forward theconcept of "green road" which is based on the natural process, apply different low impactdevelopment (Low Impact Development, LID) technologies combining with the landscapedesign to manage road stormwater runoff form the source. Learning from foreign advancedexperience of the management of urban road runoff, construction of urban road stormwatersystem based on low impact development according to China’s national conditions caneffectively relieve road runoff pollution, reduce runoff volume and peak flow and improve theurban road and the surrounding ecological environment, and it is the development direction ofurban road drainage (stormwater) system.This thesis focuses on the analysis of problems encountered in LID application on urbanroad stormwater system of China. Based on the foreign practical and engineering experience,summarize the relationship between low impact development technology and urban roadstormnwater system. The main contents are as follows:Layout cohesive relationship of urban road stormwater LID system: analysis in differentland use types and site conditions, urban road red line of different types, functions, technicalmeasures and measures of LID portfolio selection, LID technique and in combination with thecarriageway, mixed position relationship Road, pedestrian road.Vertical cohesive relationship of urban road stormwater LID system: when the road red lineconstruction land, elevation between pavement and red field with LID measures; road red linea large green space, road and the surrounding ground elevation relationship with green LIDmeasures; road near the river, elevation relation of pipeline and River Road and drainage;elevation between LID facilities at the bottom of overflow pipeline and road and facilities.The cohesive relationship of design standard of urban road stormwater LID system: LIDfacilities (retention and transmission type measures) design method and standard; theconnection of design standard of different LID facilities such as vegetation swales, sunkenlawn, pond and municipal pipelines, and the case study of analysis of the road stormwatersystem effect on the downstream pipeline return period.Cohesive relationship of urban road stormwater LID system and other professional: therelationship between urban road LID system and the road traffic, landscape design, road planning and construction sequence.
