With the rapid development of a series of new science technology such as mechanical dynamic simulation technology and FEA, making the trend of tribology research from traditional experimental research turn to comparison of experiment and virtual simulation. Through the process of dynamic simulation and the finite element analysis on the computer, tribological dynamics properties in friction pairs are analyzed. And the factors which influence friction pairs and tribological properties are studied in the ways of influencing degree and laws.Taking involute spur gear in the cylindrical gear reducer as the investigation subject in this paper, and tribological dynamics simulation analysis including influence laws of rotational speed, load torque, temperature to friction and friction coefficient was made on the subject, which offer the theory reference for gear reducer design. The content of this paper are the following:1. The research of tribological dynamics based on the multi-body dynamics simulation technology was made in gear pair by the software of ADAMS. The change regularity of friction and friction coefficient in the meshing movement are analyzed. And the regularities about rotational speed and load torque to friction are got.2. The research of frictional stress field base on finite element technology was made in gear pair by the software of ANSYS. It explained reasonably that the ditch line of driving gear and the ridge line of driven gear appeared in gear face after the long-term operation of the gear. The research offers reference for optimum design of gear.3. Base on fundamentals of thermodynamics and heat transfer, the gear3D temperature field was analyzed through the application of finite element technology. The changes of gear temperature was analyzed because of factors of different friction coefficient, different rotational speed, different power, different gear face heat transfer coefficient. It provided the theoretical references in increasing service life and optimal designs of the gear.
