| In the north of China, fruit moths are major bore fruit pest and also are the mainprevention objectives all the year round. Because they have many adverse biologicaland ecological characteristics, like inherent boring, indetectable, the complex relationbetween their occurrence and the ecological environment, and big difficulty withchemical control etc. Therefore, we have’t yet found an effective way to control theirhazards fundamentally. In order to explore the nuisanceless control strategies, thispaper conducted the study of dynamic monitoring fruit moths’ growth, prevention withexogenetic sex pheromones (mating disruption), reduction applying pesticideSilwet408and the impact of different cultivars of the same host on Carposinaniponensis etc. Detailed results are as follows. The results of monitoring the sex attractant in fruit borers showed thatGrapholitha molesta, Carposina niponensis and Dichocrocis punctiferalis couldproduce five, two, and three generations in one year, respectively in single peachorchard of Luoyang district in Henan province. Grapholitha molesta’s hazards are themost serious to peach and continue for a long time. Their population is so large that itoccupies94.31percent of the total moths, especially in May and June. Carposinaniponensis occurred three generations one year in mixed orchard and its population isgenerally larger than the same period a single orchard.Fruit moths have significantoverlapping generations in single peach orchard and mixed orchard. A method of fruit rearing was conducted indoor to study the effect of differentcultivars of peach Xiahui,Chuanzhongdao, Zhongyou5and48-22on the developmentand reproduction of Carposina niponensis. Moreover, the experiment population lifetable was established about Carposina niponensis in different cultivars of peach. Theresults indicated that: both the index of population trend and rm of Carposinaniponensis are highest in the Xiahui. It takes short time to double its population. Whilethey are the lowest in Chuanzhongdao. In short, the biases Carposina niponensisWalsingham in host are Xiahui> Zhongyou5>48-22> Chuanzhongdao.Application of exoqenetic sex pheromones mating disruption Grapholithamolesta showed that all the three given concentrations have strong interference effecton male worms searching for female worms. The density of500worms per hectare notonly has a good pest management effect, but also saves investment. The field trials demonstrated as follows. In the case of unaffecting pestmanagement, all the three concentrations Silwet408, which is a kind of organicsilicone surfactant, make4000-fold2.5%Lambda-cyhalothrin decrease thepopulation of Grapholitha molesta Busck by10-20%. While5000-fold and7000-foldSilwet408are better than9000-fold. Considering the efficacy and the cost,7000-foldSilwet408is the best because it could reduce by20%Lambda-cyhalothrin dosage. |
