Investigation And Ornamental Value Analysis Of Introducing Varieties Of Peony In Luoyang

This paper was based on the investigation of major Peony Ornamental Garden inLuoyang, chosen4peony parks which had more introduced varieties took the furtherinvestigation. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was firstly used to the evaluation ofintroduced peonies cultivar resources.13indexes were chosen, such as diameter,color,type, and so on.According to the investigation that40introduced varieties were common inLuoyang, the flower included7colors that complex color, black, pink, yellow, purple,white and red, the red and white is more common in these colors. The4flower formswere Rose Form, Chrysanthemum Form, Lotus Form, Hundred Proliferate-FlowerForm.According to the comprehensive evaluation of40kinds of peony, the introducedpeonies were divided into four grades. The score of level â… is greater than3.6, thereare7varieties; The score level â…¡is from3.2to3.6,there are8varieties; The score oflevel â…¢ is from2.8to3.2, there are12varieties; The score of level â…£is less than2.8, there are4varieties.(All graders not including the lower limit).A comprehensive evaluation mode was set up upon AHP which was suitable forthe evaluation of introduced peonies.It provided scientific foundation for the large-scale introduction and applying of peony in Luoyang.
