With global climate change, increasingly more attention has been paid to the development of bioenergy. Biogas fermentation as a fairly mature technology, in particular, has received considerable attention and experienced much development. The pressing issue facing biogas production is how to improve the efficiency of anaerobic digestion and promote its industrialization. Temperature is an important factor restricting the efficiency of anaerobic fermentation, using the sun to heat digesters, not only can improve the efficiency of biomass conversion can also reduce over-reliance on conventional energy sources, and is conducive to sustainable economic and social development.In our experiment, we heated the digesters with solar energy to improve the efficency of fermentation, as temperature is an important factor. At the Tongren biogas engineering pig farm, Haining city, Zhejiang province, China, solar energy collectors, with area of 100.8 m2 and volume of 6 t water, were introduced to solve this problem. Using solar energy collectors to heat the river water and then put these hot water into the digesters to keep the ferment on the rails. From comparing research, we can find that biogas productivity of digesters which are put into hot water is 11.2% higher than the ones are put into river water, and the methance content had no diffiences. In the research period, the utilization of these hot water improve the biogas production 2540 m3 and the pig manure’s energy transformation ratio increased 14.3%. Using solar energy to increase the conversion effiency of pig manure not only lightened the environmental pressure to protect local environment, but also promoted sustainable development. Meanwhile, this project brought great economy benefit to promote local economy fast development. In large rural area of our country, this kind project would have a good application prospects.
