Study On Color And Related Physiology Characteristics Of Petals Of Cyclamen Persicum

Cyclamen persicum which is rich in color is an important ornamental plant of the winter indoor. 4 kinds of color of‘pink’、‘purple’、‘red’、‘pink’of Cyclamen laser series were used in this present study as test materials, the petal color parameters and antioxidant enzyme activities, osmotic adjustment substances, pigment content and other relater physiological indexes were measured and analyzed at the bud stage, first blossom, full blossom and the late blossom stage respectively to explore the difference of color parameters and the flowering physiological regulation mechanism of Cyclamen, provide theoretical basis for the Cyclamen coloring mechanism. The main results were as follows:(1)The lightness value L* of the petals in 4 kinds of Cyclamen showed increased firstly and then decreased, the maximum lightness came forth at the blooming stage; the changing trend of the chromatic aberration value a* of the pink was large, in bud stage to flowering stage there was a steep rise and then leveled off, from full blossom to last blossom it decreased dramatically, in the other 3 kinds of color of Cyclamen it kept consistency, it increased first and then decreased after, but the maximum appeared in different stages; chromatic aberration value b* of the red kept consistently higher in the 4 kinds of Cyclamen, the changing trend of the 4 kinds color of Cyclamen was decreased first and then increased.(2)The content of anthocyanin in red is the highest, its maximum value appeared at full-blossom stage, while the lowest was in the pink and its maximum value appeared at the bud stage; and the content of flavonoid in pink is highest, the minimum value appeared in blooming stage, while there was no significant difference of the content of flavonoid in the other 3 kinds of color of Cyclamen, there was a extremely remarkable difference of the content of flavonoid between the pink and the other 3 kinds of color of Cyclamen at the various stages; the activity of CHI enzyme in pink kept higher and it was significantly higher than the other 3 kinds of color of Cyclamen during the whole flowering process, besides, there was a positive correlation between the activity of CHI enzyme and the content of flavonoid. The maximum value of activity of PAL enzyme in the 4 kinds of color of Cyclamen appeared at the bud stage, and with the passage of the flowering time, the activity decreased gradually.(3)With the passage of time, the content of the MDA and the production rate of the oxygen showed an upward trend in the Cyclamen of 4 kinds of color. (4)Osmotic regulation substances with time are variations in 4kinds of color in the development process of Cyclamen.The content of proline in the pale pink and purple was increase and then decreased, while showed a downtrend in the red and pink. The soluble sugar content and soluble protein content kept a negative correlation.(5)The changing trend is inconsistent of the activity of the anti oxidase (SOD、POD、CAT、APX、GR) activity, the content of proline, the content of soluble sugar and the content of the soluble protein in the flowering process, which, the activity of SOD always maintain higher levels in the Cyclamen of 4 kinds of color; the activity of POD in the red was the highest while it changed a little and maintain a lower level in the other 3 kinds of color of Cyclamen; the changing tendency of CAT、APX、GR activity in the pink there was a sharp decline leveled off in the bud stage, while maintained a relatively low level and changed a little in the other 3 kinds of color of Cyclamen.(6)In the whole process of the experiment, the relationship was different between the color and indicator associated of Cyclamen of 4 kinds of color. Among them, the values of a* and PAL activity and soluble protein content was significantly positive correlated of the pale pink, while with the 5 protective enzymes activity there was a significant negative correlation. There was a extremely significant correlations between the a* and PAL enzyme activity and protective enzyme of POD, CAT, APX and GR activity of the red, and with the CHI enzyme activity and soluble protein content there was a significantly negative correlation. The values of a* and PAL enzyme activity, free proline content and protective enzyme activity of CAT was significantly correlated, while with the CHI activity, the content of MDA and the protective enzyme it was significantly negative correlated. Of the pink, it was not significant between the a* and the enzyme activity which control the petal coloration and the content of pigment, and between the a* and MDA activity it was significantly negative correlated while with the activity of the protective enzyme GR was extremely significant positive correlated.
