The gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar(Linnaeus)(Lepidoptera:Lymantriidae). Inorder to prevent the introduction of AGM, The United States and Canada has began or prepared to take special measures on ships from the China. This had a major impact on China’s import and export trade. To avoid further trade losses, thereby preventing AGM from accessing cargo. This test is related to the monitoring of gypsy moth. This study conducted a comparison of pheromone traps and light traps to further improve the gypsy moth monitoring system, while flight mills were also used to measure the gypsy moth flight capacity.Set three groups of sex pheromone traps by the spacing of25m,50m and100m to compare trapping device different spacing on the lure the gypsy moth. The results showed that there was not significantly different.Consider the males of the gypsy moth’s flight capacity, flight distance more than100m over95%. It’s said that under the number of the population density of this test, using sex pheromone traps for gypsy moth monitoring,spacing100m,to achieve good trapping effect can expand monitoring area or reduce the number of traps at the same time.A mark-recapture experiment was also conducted where sex pheromone traps were used to recapture gypsy moths released at different distances.Research pheromone trap gypsy moth lure distance and the impact factors for pheromone traps.Selected9different wavelengths insecticidal lamps,to compare different wavelengths’lure effect for the gypsy moth. The results showed, for male gypsy moth,9insecticidal lamps all had lure effect, the number of moths with UV lamps was significantly higher than that with visible lamps, light trap366nm got the male gypsy moth earlier than others, light trap368nm got the most male gypsy moth;for female gypsy moth,it’s first appeared time later than male, and the number much less than male.At the same time, preservatied and identified other Lepidoptera insects lured by insecticidal lights;made records of the meteorological conditions and analyzed the meterological factors affecting the light trap.A flight mill was used to evaluate the glight propensity of AGM of different sexes, adult ages, and reproductive status.Reproductive status of the moths had a significant effect on the flight capacity, where virgin moths flew longer and faster than mated moths. The flight capacity decreased as the adult age increased, with the exception of2-day-old females.
