The area of eastern lily cultivation is continuously enlarging since the successfully introduction in these two decades.However, there is an obviously gap between home product quality and foreign country in most areas and the fertilizer over-dose is taking places except some large enterprises.In this study we set up N/P/K fertilizer concentration gradient, tested the Antioxidant activity of phenolic compounds in some kinds of familiar Lilies,discussed the optimal N/P/K fertilizer concentration and the antioxidant activity for4kinds of Lily cultivars.The major results are as below:1. The growth situation of eastern Lily ’Sorborne’ and ’Marlon’ is compared in5kinds of N fertilizer concentration and with turf as culture substrate. The results show that N fertilizer has a minimum effect for eastern lily. High quality products can be yield without N, which indicated that N can be disused when culture substrate condition is good.2.The growth situation of lily cultivar ’Siberia’ and ’Sorborne’ is compared in5kinds of N/P/K fertilizer concentration and the effects of different N concentration to the color of ’Sorborne’, In order to provide theoretical bases for lily flower in soilless culture. The N/P/K fertilizer concentration of MS mediun is used as standard, and the5kinds of concentration was tested, the contol in the test is culture without N/P/K fertilizer. We measured its Plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, leaf area, the yellow leaves rates, flower diameter, flowering, flowering time, ground fresh weight, dry weight of the ground, leaf chlorophyll content and determined the larkspur factors, cyanidincontent of ’Sorborne’. The outcome indicated that low N/P/K fertilizer concentration promoted the growth of Lily, and high concentration has a restrain effect.The optimal N/P/K fertilizer for ’Siberia’ is1/2MS; the optimal N fertilizer for ’Sorborne’ is1/8MS, the best P fertilizer is1/8MS, the best K fertilizer is MS. High N concentration results in low delphinidin and total anthocyanin concentration in ’Sorborne’. Keep a low N concentration can make a bright-coloured ’Sorborne’ Lily.3. In order to promote the natural antioxidant production work, the phenolic substances and antioxidant activity from four varieties of liliy flower petals were tested. Meanwhile15individual phenolics were also detected. The scavenging ability to ABTS+,DPPH free radical and hydroxyl free radical and reducing capacity to copper ion as well as metal-chelating ability were detected to determine the antioxidative actibvity of them.’Sorbonne’has the highest phenolic content, which followed by’Siberia’,’Manissa’and Lilium regula.The kinds of individual phenolics from different liliy petals were different, but Catechin, Epicatechin, Pcoumaricacid, Delphinidin, Rutin, Dihydromyricetin, Dihydroquercetin and Kampferol are commen. Furthermore, all the phenols owns a outstanding scavenging activity to the ABTS+DPPH free radical and hydroxyl free radical, a splendid reduction to copper ion and an excellent metal-chelating ability. The test indicated that these lilies are optimum natural anti-oxidative material and worth for developing.
