The Fuji apple is main variety in our country. The high density planting with dwarfrootstocks in apple is the direction of development of the world. Leaves are the mostimportant photosynthesis place of fruit trees, and have great plasticity on the differentcultivation conditions. In order to clear the impact factors of changing anatomicalcharacteristics of Fuji apple leaves, the experiment among different growth types, interstocksand planting environment, using Fuji Apple’s leaves tested material using scanning electronmicroscopy, paraffin slicing and other methods, compare the form of anatomicalcharacteristics and some physiological indices, the results as follow:1. The leaf characteristics of three kinds of ordinary type, spur type and columnar appleare very different, Columnar Apple has prominent leaf area and thickness; spur type apple hasthe largest specific leaf weight. The genetic reason of different growth types is big impact tothe characteristics of leaves.2. Leaves of δ13C values gradually increase as the altitude increases, Fuji apples toadapt to the increasingly arid environment and a gradual increase in tree water use efficiency.The same time, the morphological and physiological indicators of the leaves are alsocorresponding changes: leaf area and water content decrease with altitude, leaf thickness,specific leaf weight increment. Leaf characteristics and evolution towards adapt to aridconditions, the Fuji apple leaves under different environmental conditions have differentmorphological and anatomical characteristics.3. Fuji apple leaves on dwarf interstocks showed varying degrees of droughtcharacteristics: With the deepening of the degree of dwarfing, leaf area is reduced, increasedleaf thickness, thicker palisade tissue, spongy tissue thinning, palisade tissue/spongy tissueratio significant increase and the leaf epidermal hair gradually thicken; so the dwarf stocksproduce a certain degree of drought stress to Fuji apple. The IOD, POD, of SOD and CATenzyme activity in the leaves in the year with the growth of plants, closely related todormancy, enzyme activity with the increase in the degree of dwarf, dwarf rootstock to thescion varieties bring a kind of adversity.
