Orius similis Zheng (Hemiptera:Anthocoridae) is China’s endemic species, and it is an important predator widely distribute in agroecosystems of South China. A lot of literatures were reported on the taxology, characteristics of biology and ecolgy of O. similis Zheng. But in whether the parthenogenesis reproductive is of the reproductive way of O. similis Zheng is controversial. In order to get the knowledge of the reproductive way of O. similis Zheng and to reveal the potential of the parthenogenesis reproductive in O. similis Zheng, serving as indoor stress environment conditions and the level of molecular biology, in this two aspects this paper had systematically studied the reproductive way of O. similis Zheng. The main conclusions are as follows:1The parthenogenesis reproductive of O. similis Zheng in indoor stress environmentIn the indoor rearing of O. similis Zheng, the mianly factors of its reproduction and development are temperature, light, humidity, the variety of foods and food stages, thus We use this5factors designed the five factors of5levels orthogonal test. In this test we never observed the spawning phenomenon of female O. similis Zheng. But in another test, under the conditions of28℃(Temperature),70%(Humidity), L14:D10(illumination), pollen+Aphis gossypii Glover/Frankliniella intonsa(Trybom)(Food), enough food and20O. similis Zheng females rearing in one container, we had get the eggs of O. similis Zheng, and the eggs can’t hatched. The eggs were invalid eggs.2The detection of parthenogenesis reproductive in natural population O. similis Zheng in molecular levelAccording to the flank sequences highly conservative of microsatellite loci, part of the primer can be used on the origin of close species.6microsatellite loci markers of O. sauteri and13microsatellite loci markers of O. strigicollis have being searched on NCBI. Using Polymerase Chain Reaction and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis methord, we sreened6microsatellite loci markers from the19microsatellite loci markers. And the systerm and program of the PCR had been optimizedThe egg develop in parthenogenesis reproductive have three different development ways:(1) The oocyte develop into the new individual directly, the genomoe of the new individual is haploid;(2) the two oocyte coalesced and the genome is homozygous or exactly similar with matrix (3) the Eggs nuclear don’t through meiosis directly develop into the new individual, the genome is exactly similar with matrix. Using the6micro satellite loci markers tested the genome of the natural population of O. similis Zheng. This is never homozygous nor two individuals have same genome from the result. So in this paper we have not fand parthenogenesis reproductive in natural population O. similis Zheng.
