Feeding value of Lathyrus latifolius was high, and preventing soil erosion and keepingfertility was good, which was one kind of very outstanding legume forage species. But itsseed yield was low, the sexual reproduction speed was slow. In order to improve thegermination rate of Lathyrus latifolius seeds and quality of seedlings, it needs to seek thesemethod of application of biogas slurry. And using different volume fraction of biogas slurryon the cutting of Lathyrus latifolius to find out the best way to deal with. Therefore, effects ofbiogas slurry on growth and development, drougth resistance and soil fertility of Lathyruslatifolius conducted the preliminary study, the result has been as follows:1.The germination vigor and germination rate, which are63%,72%respectively, weregot when seeds were soaked by biogas slurry at the volume fraction of70%.Both of them arehigher than those in other treatments and with extremely significant difference(P<0.01);Lathyrus latifolius seed germination and growth under control at the volume fraction of90%and100%.2. The root length, stem length and strain weigh, which are4.73cm,8.22cm and0.1297grespectively, were got when seeds were soaked by biogas slurry at the concentration of70%.All of them are higher than those in other treatments and with extremely significantdifference(P<0.01). Too high volume fraction (>70%) of biogas slurry make root length, stem length, strain weigh decreased. The root length, stem length and strain weigh at thevolume fraction of90%,100%are worse than CK treatment.3.Under PEG-6000stress, the germination vigor, germination rate, germination index, vigor index and mbryo root/embryo bud at different volume fraction of biogas slurry wereextremely significant difference (P<0.01). Overall speaking, when biogas slurry volumefraction is60%-70%, all the indexes significantly better than other treatments, droughtresistance is better; the indexs were higher than those in CK and with extremely significantdifference(P<0.01). Explain to the seeds were soaked by biogas slurry has better droughtresistance. And when drought stress tolerance limit exceed its seeds, no seed germination.4. The rootting rate and new shoot length, which are78%,4.88cm respectively, were got when cutting using by biogas slurry at the volume fraction of70%. Both of them are higherthan those in other treatments and with extremely significant difference(P<0.01); using thedifferent treatment on the new leaves has significant difference (P <0.05), generally betterthan CK treatment, but have not found significant between the treatment.5. The longest root length(21.964cm) when they were used by70%biogas slurry, itshowed a extremely significant correlation(P<0.01). Under the treatment of80%biogasslurry, surface area of root(9.6313cm~2) and root volume(0.1688cm~3) were extremelysignificantly higher than those in other treatments; while average diameter and dry weigh ofroot showed a significant correlation(P<0.05).6. The effects of application biogas slurry showed that the content of organic matter andtotal N of soils surface had increased, but, total P had little effect, and will reduce thecontent of available K and pH in surface soils.
