Miscanthus plant is a kind of energy plant that has enormous value. If it can be extended in saline and alkaline land, it will bring us huge economic value and ecological benefit. Nevertheless, studies on salt tolerance of Miscanthus plant are neither systematic nor comprehensive. In this paper, salt-tolerance of seeds was evaluated at seed germination in stimulating salt environment, salt-tolerance of Miscanthus hybrids and parts of germplasm resources were identified in saline and alkaline land. The main results showed that:(1) The trend of salt-tolerance of seeds was D0441>C0605>D0115> C0630> Xiangzamang No.2> Xiangzamang No.3>A0444>B0431L> Xiangzamang No.1>C0406> B0132>B0515>C0101>B0341. When concentraction of NaCl was1.5%, the germination rate of D0441could reach74%. D0441showed the most resistant to salinity. Relative seed germination percentage, relative seed germination potential, relative seed germination index could be used as screening indexes for salt-tolerance at seed germinating stage.(2) The study on salt-tolerance of Miscanthus hybrids showed that:VI-A-06>VI-A-14>VI-B-13>VI-A-10>VI-A-07>VI-A-13>VI-A-11>VI-A-05>VI-A-09>VI-A-08>VI-A-12>VI-A-02>VI-A-03>VI-A-04. Stem diameter, node number, water content, fresh weight per culm, plant dry weight, Na+/K+, Na+content, K+content could be used as screening indexes for salt-tolerance at field screening stage.(3) The study on salt-tolerance of216germplasm resources in slight saline and alkaline land showed that:the trend of salt-tolerance of germplasm resources from high to low were Jilin, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Hainan, Liaoning, Shaaxi, Hebei, Anhui, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Guangdong, Guizhou.(4) The study on salt-tolerance of296germplasm resources in mildly saline and alkaline land showed that:the trend of salt-tolerance of germplasm resources from high to low were Hebei, Hainan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Shanxi, Henan, Chongqing, Anhui, Liaoning, Hubei, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Yunnan.(5) Differences in salt-tolerance among4Miscanthus spices were observed. On slight saline and alkaline land, the salt-tolerance of M. lutarioriparius was strongest, the next were M. sacchariflorus and M. floridulus, that of M. sinensis was weakest. On mildly saline and alkaline land, the salt-tolerance of M. sacchariflorus was strongest, the next were M. lutarioriparius and M. sinensis, that of M. floridulus was weakest.(6) A batch of germplasm resources with stronger salt-resistance were screened out, such as M. lutarioriparius materials A0108and B0120, M. floridulus material A0321, M. sacchariflorus material B0222R, M. sinensis materials B0530and C0215.
