According to the data of the United Nations, as the world food demand arising from the population growth problem, seed treatment technology is considered to be important element in improving the food supply, while easy to seed coating process and use,even high resistance factors in environmental performance, when the traditional plant protection products is sluggish in the world market, seed treatment agent sales are still growing at a rate of3%per cent. So, the proper surfactants and their dosages in the Flowable water concentrate for seed treatmen system were selected using the flowing point test and trial method. With the effective component slightly soluble in water, the construction and thixotropy of Formulation Flowable water concentrate for seed treatment of40%thiamethoxam have been studied, analysis of thiamethoxam40%FS has been investigated, it is of great significance for guiding seed coating preparations products of low toxicity, environmental protection.1.Contruction of thiamethoxam40%FS:the parameters of thiamethoxam40%FS met the specifications for the pesticide FS when the dosages of FS3000+WG5+WG4(3:2:2), PTIN-L68+XG(10:1), Agrocer492or Agripol711, Dycoseed and Carbamide was5%,1.1%,0.05%,0.05%and2.5%; By maize seed germination tests showed:selected film-forming coating film agent on seed germination of no significant impact.2.The study on thixotropy of thiamethoxam40%FS showed:When the magnalium silicate PTIN-L68and Xamthan Gum(XG) could form good thixotropic suspension system when the dosages proportion was10to1. Conventional polymer film-forming agents PVA-VAE1788can increase viscosity of system, strengthening the thixotropy of system, enhance physical stability.3. A quantitative high performance liquid chromatography method of the active ingredient thiamethoxam in the formulation40%FS was developed:a DIKMa C18[200mm×4.6mm (i.d.),1μm] column in40℃,methanol/water(40:60) as mobile phase, Flow rate is1.OmL/min, sample size is20μL and determination at251nm. The inear regression equation of the method was y=41566.3x+1003.5,R2=0.9999, average recovery percentage was99.3%, standard deviation was0.38%,coefficient of variation was0.01%.
