Road greening can not only improve the people’s quality of life, but also create a good environmentfor sustainable development of the city economy, and reflect the city’s cultural connotation andhistorical accumulation. Based on the107quadrat of investigation on the main road in Hangzhou City,the writer applied research methods of plant community, mastered plant growth status, speciescomposition and structure characteristics of trunk road greening in Hangzhou City, evaluated the greenspace landscape in Hangzhou main road, and analysed the representative road typically. Through thestatistical analysis of the data and conclusions, the road green space planning was put forward, providedsome suggestions to the development of the road green space, the main results and conclusions are asfollows.1. The characteristics of artificial plant community of the road green space in Hangzhou wereinvestigated and analysed in quantification. There are a total of60families,98genera,124species, andrespectively accounting to26.0%in family,7.1%in genus,3.2%in species of current plants in Zhejiangprovince, in which Gymnospermae are belonged to6families,9genera,10species and angiosperm arebelonged to54families,89genera,114species.2. There are4basic types of plant community in Hangzhou Road:5evergreen broad-leaved types,accounting for4.7%;9deciduous types, accounting8.4%;71mixed evergreen and deciduous broadleaftypes, accounting for66.4%;22needle and broad-leaved mixed types, accounting20.5%. ObviouslyHangzhou road plant community types are more abundant, and the mixed evergreen and deciduousbroadleaved are main mode.3. The road with width in36-40m are accounted for21.7%, width above40m for24.1%inHangzhou trunk road, the green setting is satisfactory in general. There are8main vertical structuretypes of road green space, three layers with tree, shrub and grass composite structure can reduce thenoise of automobile and absorb tail gas of automobile effectively, being good transportation andecological function.4. Trees and shrubs species ratio in green road is1.24:1, the average number of the ratio is1:1.6,the average density is0.019/m2in the tree layer species, the average density is0.030/m2in shrub treespecies. This shows that shrubs are in low number of application in Hangzhou road greenbelt. Theevergreen and deciduous species ratio is about1.67:1in tree species,4:1in shrub species.5. Green road has a high species richness, various community types and structures. The mean valueof species richness index is5.9112, the mean value of Gleason species richness index is0.8385, themean value of Margalef species richness index is1.0947, the mean value of ecological dominanceSimpson index is0.7127, the mean value of Shannon-Weiner index is1.4613, the mean value ofdominant populations and ecological dominance of Berger-Parker index is0.3724in tree layer andshrub layer. The variety of the species richness and diversity index is higher of road green in Hangzhoucity, and community species are more abundant, species richness is to be improved in individual road.6. There are13sections of Grade I road plant landscape, accounted for12%,76sections of Grade II road plant landscape, accounted for71%,18sections of Grade III road plant landscape, accounted for17%of the total number of survey sections from the results of comprehensive evaluation. Some of theseroads are limited by space and historical reasons, and biodiversity is low, the form is always single, sothe possibility of change is hard.7. Selected4from GradeⅠ,3from Grade II and2from Grade Ⅲ of landscape comprehensiveevaluation as the analysis object and drew the plan graphs of plant configuration with high frequencyand typicalness for the principle, on the basis of investigation and analysis in plant community ofHangzhou city trunk road.8. Summed up the existed problems of road green plant configuration in Hangzhou city and putforward corresponding suggestions to improve and optimize greenbelt community of the city.
