Based on the previous researches, effects of natural grass cultivating in orchard, big branch pruning on summer, different fertilizing methods and different calcium-boron nutrient solutions on field fertilization increasing, ecology environment improving, the tree dwarfing, fruit quality promoting and its commodity traits, wore studied with Myrica rubra var. Dongkui as the material in the thesis. The related practical techniques and products were produced, Techniques of fruit quality optimization and safety cultivation system were summarized. These researches laid the foundation of non-pollution fruit production, and offer relative techniques for promoting fruit quality of Myrica rubra.Natural grass cultivation increased plant diversity in red bayberry orchard, field fertility, fruit weight and yield. The total sugar content and total soluble solid content were highest in half natural grass cultivation, reached10.82%,12.12%, respectively. The results were the first time reported and will be suitable to extension and application in cultivation area of Myrica rubra in Zhejiang Province.The adopting of the big branch pruning method decreased significantly the plant height with28.89%to43.46%. It improved the ecological environment of tree crown. Up to88.82%of fruits were harvested each plant, and the safety during fruit harvesting practice were strengthened significantly.Different fertilizing methods improved the field fertilization of red bayberry orchard, and increased fruit quality significantly. Red bayberry special organic fertilizer performed best when used as after harvesting fertilizer, base fertilizer and fruit-increasing fertilizer, continuously. The whole slow-releasing fertilizer performed best with one time fertilizing during fruit weight rapid increasing period. The effect was different with various fertilizers, the order from high to low is organic fertilizer> whole slow-releasing fertilizer> bean dreg organic fertilizer. Different cultivation area of our province should select different fertilizer according to different its field fertility.Different calcium nutrient solutions were helpful for enlarging fruit, improving fruit color, increasing fruit firmness, optimizing other various quality related traits, promoting market value and increasing shelf life. These nutrient solutions were harmless and safety for edibility. The results indicated that the fruit-vegetable quality improving solution perform best and could be applied in different production areas of Zhejiang Province.
