With the uniform thickness of polyethylene films (purple, blue, yellow, red) and thewhite polyethylene film as the control, this study was excepted to explore the effects ofdifferent light quality on the physiological characteristics and qualities of the Radish with RedPulp, and to determine the reasonable light quality films for the cultivation of the Radish withRed Pulp. The main findings were as follows:1. Different light quality had effected on Radishes’ qualities.BF processing had thehighest content of ascorbic acid, free amino acids, soluble protein. RF got the highest solublesugar content. The quality indicators of YF, PF and CK were between the BF and RF.2. There was a significant difference in the yield of the Radish with different coloredfilms. BF had the highest yield, which was15%higher than CK, and PF got the lowest yieldwith only73%of CK. Afterthat, RF was57%higher than PF. Each treatment’s yield indescending order was as follows: RF> YF> CK> BF> PF.3. All colored films provided a better light environment to the Radish with Red Pulp, which increased the GS, Ci and Pn in leaves significantly. And RF had the highest levels ofGS, Ci and Pn. The chlorophyll a, b content of RF increased by30%, which was followed byYF, but BF was15%lower than CK, and PF decreased by30%. The carotenoid content in theleaves of BF, PF, RF and YF increased by60%,50%,20%,10%respectively. The chlorophylla, b content and chlorophyll a+b total content were a significant positive correlation with theR/B of transmitted lights. The ratio of chlorophyll a/b was in the same order with R/B,showing a significant positive correlation. The content of carotenoids had a significantnegative positive correlation with R/FR of transmitted lights.4. The chlorophyll fluorescence parameters in the Radish with Red Pulp with differentcolored films were significantly different. RF and BF could effectively improve the PSIIreaction activity and potential activity of PSII. The orders of Fm/F0and Fv/F0were as follows:RF> BF> CK> YF> PF. RF, YF and BF were effective to improve the PSII system primaryreaction of the photochemical, PSII activity and the light utilization capacity. The order of theFv/Fm were as follows: RF>YF>BF>CK> PF, and the order of the φPSII were RF> BF> YF>CK> PF. 5. The soluble sugar content, PAL activity and anthocyanin content in the fleshy rootsincreased gradually during the growing period. but the soluble protein content reduced duringthe growing period. With the establishment of multiple regression equations and partialcorrelation analysis, the relationship was found that anthocyanins and PAL, soluble sugarwere a significant positive correlation, and a significantly negative correlation was betweenanthocyanins and soluble protein.
