| The Mongolians in HulunBuir Typical Steppe Area have a rich traditional botanical knowledge and experience, included the contents of plant nomenclature, classification, uses, management and conservation, formed an integrated traditional botanical knowledge system.The basis of nomenclature of the wild plants for diversification of the Mongolians in HulunBuir Typical Steppe Area, its have disguising features of regional and cultural characteristics. There are232folk plant names used by native Mongolians corresponding to116species,1subspecies,8varieties, and1form, attached to the43families and93genera. The names of folk plants are still used by local people and guiding herdsmen to identify, manage, and use of local wild plant resources, have important practical value.The HulunBuir Typical Steppe Area of Mongolian folk use of plants to use is divided into five major categories, they are food use, medicinal use, forage use, construction, technical and craft use and cultural use. Folk edible plants, including5species for grains,4as seasoning,10species for tea,15as fruits and13species as vegetables. There are36species of wild plants are used for traditional medicine, and another12species for veterinary medicine, medicinal method is simple, emergency use and other characteristics are suitable for the life of grassland animal husbandry. Moreover, local herders reached a high level of knowledge of forage plants, and fully reflects the properties of typical grassland animal husbandly nation,38species of forage plant are mentioned by local Mongols, in which63.15%is excellent forage plants and bening ones. There are12species of plants used as construction, technical and craft materials, but the traditional knowledge have been played an important role on the local herders of livestock production and life. There are a lot of local wild plants integration into the traditional customs, religion, literature and art, and other fields, thus rich the grassland national culture, and played a very important role in the protection of the local wild plants.The similarities between folk use of wild plants in the family, genera, and species used by the Mongols of HulunBuir Typical Steppe Area and Xilingol Typical Steppe Area were75.32%,64.29%and58.26%。... |
