At present, Chinese consumption of agricultural water is increasing year by year. Theutilization of water resources is poor, so we must improve agricultural productivity by the wayof using advanced technical. With the development of modern science and technology, thetechnical level of greenhouse environment monitoring and controlling system is increasing.Automation of managing water by using sensors to monitor soil moisture can promoteautomation control technology in irrigation system reasonably, which makes up the precisionirrigation control system.The precision irrigation control system can effectively improve waterresource utilization and ease the water crisis.Wireless sensor networks technology was born in the last century. After more than30years, it has become an important technology for applications in industrial and agriculturalproduction. Wireless sensor networks provide a low-cost, low power consumption, highreliability, and high cost-effective solution for the micro-irrigation monitoring system.The state of the art of the international and domestic water saving irrigation is presented.According to the characteristics and the requirements of the greenhouse micro-irrigation, thisthesis studies and analyzes the control object and theory of the wireless micro-irrigation controlsystem based on wireless sensor network. The thesis focuses on micro-irrigation controlsystem designing of hardware and software, and network configuration. A micro-irrigationmonitoring strategy based on fuzzy control theory is proposed to improve the systemperformance. The main work of this thesis is as follows:Firstly, by comparing the state of the domestic and international micro-irrigationmonitoring system, the overall micro-irrigation monitoring system based on wireless sensornetworks was designed.Secondly, the intelligent wireless monitoring node and gateway node of themicro-irrigation monitoring system based on wireless sensor networks were designed in thisthesisl. And their hardware circuit which can complete various functions was designed in detail.In the respect of hardware design, according to the need of instrument precision,real-time andcosts,the thought of modular design was adopted to improve reliability and maintainability ofthe system.Thirdly, the method of modular was adopted in software design which includes the moduleof environmental monitoring signal sampling node, the module of wireless data transmitter andreceiver, the monitor and control module of PC interface. According to the characteristics ofgreenhouse micro-irrigatio, the system network was configurated, environmental monitoringand parameter achieving was realized, which realizes data transmission among intelligent nodesof environmental monitoring, electromagnetic valve, stepper motor and PC. In this thesis, the micro-irrigation monitoring system based on wireless sensor network can perform manyfunctions, such as data collection, storage, analysis and statistics, which can remotely monitorgreenhouse and effectively improve the level of greenhouse management.Finally, the irrigation regime for the micro-irrigation monitoring system was studied anddesigned. Therefore, a fuzzy control algorithm was proposed to improve the performance ofmicro-irrigation monitoring system. The testing results showed that the system presented waseffective.
