In order to explore the effect of cellulose decomposing bacteria on performance of geese and fibers digestion,80Nong An geese of good health with0-day-old were selected, which were randomly divided into5groups,16in each group. From0-day-old on, the cellulose decomposing bacteria of109CFU/ml was fed the Experimental group once every three days. Group A were feed with the cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus isolated and cloned from the intestine of geese, and Group B were feed with the cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus isolated and cloned from the intestine of termites. Group C were feed with the cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus isolated and cloned from cow dung. And Group D used a mixture of the bacteria of the three groups above with equal amount of each. The Control group used equal amount of distilled water. The effect of cellulose decomposing bacteria on growth performance, nutrients availability、 slaughtering performance and intestinal morphology were studied after feeding trial、 digestion and metabolic trial、slaughter test and Intestinal paraffin test. The results provided theoretical basis and practical reference for the study of cellulose decomposing bacteria in production practice. The experiment results showed:Cellulose decomposing bacteria have effect on growth performance of geese. The cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus isolated and cloned from the intestine of geese and those from the intestine of termites were likely to fix net in animal intestines, but it took more time for those from cow bung to fix net in animal intestines. Those from the intestine of termites improved the daily gain of geese better than those from the geese which took second place. And those from cow dung came last. The42nd saw the fastest speed of daily gain for geese. All of the three cellulose decomposing bacteria could increase the appetite of the geese, definitely decrease the feed conversation. And the effects of the three cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus differed dramatically, among which the decomposition of those from the intestine of termites was the best. The digestibility of fibers was improved after r oral in-taking of cellulose decomposing bacteria. At4weeks and8weeks old. the digestion rate of Experimental group is definitely higher than that of the Control group in crude fiber, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber and hemicelluloses. The digestion rate of geese at4weeks was definitely higher than that of8weeks in dry food, crude fat, crude fiber, crude protein, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber and hemicelluloses. In this experiment, the digestion rate of fibers with cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus from the intestine of termites were the highest. The breast meat rate lowered after taking in cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus with little effect on other slaughter performance. Segmental intestinal villus height decreased intestinal crypt depth of geese. which led to the increase of ratio between the two but the increase of cecal muscle layer thickness. And this in turn improves the digestion performance of geese. In this experiment, the cellulose decomposing bacteria Bacillus isolated and cloned from the intestine of termites improved the decomposition greater than those from the intestine of geese and cow dung.
